Applying Work Permit in Thailand

申請泰國工作許可證

A foreigner must have a work permit in order to work in Thailand. An employer must employ four Thai employees for each work permit. In addition, in the first year of company registration, Ministry of Labor may allow an employer to apply one work permit for every 1-2 Thai employees.

外國人想在泰國工作首先需要工作許可證。一位泰國雇主須僱用四位泰國員工才能申請一份工作許可證。泰國公司成立的第一年內泰國勞工部可能會同意泰國雇主在只有一到兩位泰國員工的情狀下申請工作許可證。

If Ministry of Labor accepts work permit application when there are less than four Thai employees, it will follow up when the work permit file a renewal application, and strictly requires the employer to have four Thai employees.

如第一次申請工作許可證時泰國員工不到四人，申請許可證延展時泰國勞工部會強制確認泰國員工有四個員工。

Before applying a work permit, a foreign employee must be registered at Social Security Office.

外國員工在申請工作許可證時須已註冊泰國社會保險。

2. VAT registration certificate

3. Last year’s audited financial statement

4. Last year’s corporate income tax return

5. Latest 3 months VAT returns

  最近三個月 增值稅申報

6. Latest 3 months social security submission form

  最近三個月的社會保險提交證明

7. A letter stating the necessity of hiring a foreigner instead of hiring a local employee

信件說明有必要聘用這位外國員工，而不是本地員工

8. List of foreign workers including their names, nationalities, positions and work permit.

  外籍員工名單， 包括其姓名，國籍，職位和工作許可證。

9. 2,000,000 baht registered capital per each work permit

  每一份工作許可證需有二百萬註冊資本額

10. Map indicating the location of the company

11. In case the company director is a foreigner with signatory power, a copy of his/her work permit must be included.
